This report briefly describes the opportunities and challenges facing the start-up ecosystem in Tanzania. The information presented is premised on the argument that recently, Tanzania has witnessed a rapid surge in start-ups across different sectors. This movement, however, is relatively young as start-up culture and practice have never been a common phenomenon in Tanzania.
