Innovation Technology Entrepreneurship

The term emerging technologies has been loosely used by IT experts and technology professionals. There is no collectively agreed-on definition. Some definitions emphasise the potential impact emerging technologies have on the economy and society (e.g. Porter et al., 2002), and some focus on characteristics of novelty and growth (e.g. Small et al., 2014). Emerging technology is generally used to describe a new technology or the continuing development of existing technology.
